GUIDELINES FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
Sumandeep Vidyapeeth, a NAAC A++ accredited deemed university, follows specific protocols for international (Foreign/NRI/PIO/OCI) students managed by its International Relations and Affairs Cell.
- Core Document Requirements
Foreign and international candidates must provide the following additional documents at the time of admission:
Valid Foreign Passport: Must be currently valid.
Valid Student VISA: Candidates must meet all Indian visa requirements.
Equivalency Certificate: Degrees or certificates must be recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), Commonwealth Universities, or the International Association of Universities (IAU) as equivalent to Indian standards.
Residential Permit: A valid residential permit for staying in India is required.
- Sponsored NRI Candidates
If a candidate is being sponsored by an NRI, they must provide:
Sponsorship Affidavit: An affidavit from the NRI sponsor claiming financial responsibility for the entire course fee.
Sponsor Proof: Copy of the sponsor's valid passport and visa.
Embassy Certificate: A certificate from the Indian Embassy certifying the NRI status of the sponsor.
Income Proof: Copy of the latest Income Tax Return filed by the sponsor.
Relationship Evidence: Documents establishing the relationship between the candidate and the sponsor.
- Admission Process & Counseling
Admission to NRI quota seats is conducted through centralized online counseling managed by the National commission for Indian system of medicine(NCISM).
Standard Documents: All students must submit standard certificates, including a 10th-grade birth certificate, 12th-grade mark sheet, transfer/migration certificate, and a physical/medical fitness certificate.
Fees: Fees for NRI candidates for programs like BAMS are typically required in foreign currency (e.g., USD).
- International Relations and Affairs Cell Support
This cell serves as a single point of contact for foreign students, offering the following support:
Assistance with FRRO registration (Foreigners Regional Registration Officer).
Liaison for all collaborative activities and cultural adaptation.
Coordination of the welcoming and brand-building activities for international students.
